As David Jakes says: "Chatcasting rocks!" It should be a part of all PD experiences. I tried to take it to the "next level" by havingt it archived on a wiki and using it as a prompt for further reflection. It looks like that's exactly what's happening ... for those that are participating. Let me know how you use in any PD you do. I'd love to hear how it worked, or didn't. ;-)

@Stewart Thanks for the feedback! Can't wait to see what you do with "all this stuff" in your class.

@Joe I am humbled. I felt the same way about you watching you work with your staff. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would relish the opportunity to follow it up.

@Kern That's a great idea! I remember Robin Good talking about a host of free video streaming tools. Now that would be a way to kick it up another notch! ;-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11154418.post-15358496658199301812007-08-10T23:13:00.000-05:002007-08-10T23:13:00.000-05:00Hey Darren, Great job with the Skypecast. I tried one for David Warlick's presentation in Maine http://tinyurl.com/2drj72 but the connection wasn't strong enough.Kern Kelleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16918073875608014468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11154418.post-92212367086644270912007-08-10T18:33:00.000-05:002007-08-10T18:33:00.000-05:00Darren,So well done. Hope we can have you back!

JoeJoseph Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16858720265912708615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11154418.post-43734985945852448302007-08-10T10:28:00.000-05:002007-08-10T10:28:00.000-05:00I can't tell you how valuable these presentations ...I can't tell you how valuable these presentations have been. There has definitely been gaps in everything we have seen lately regarding HOW technology will be useful for my students other than something new and different so therefore engaging. Also, there have been very few resources geared to high school math. I could do lots with elementary school, which I don't teach. I finally feel like everything is clicking. I am very interested in exploring more of the k12 online conference and trying to reach and connect with every student that I teach. I can't wait.Stewarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02176677264354095044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11154418.post-40627732841675628902007-08-09T03:15:00.000-05:002007-08-09T03:15:00.000-05:00This is a really interesting way to engage partici...This is a really interesting way to engage participants in a mixed reality showcase/ workshop.
